Yozzi Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-12
In short: Yozzi is an app with no server. All memos and to-dos are stored only on your device,
and the developer can neither access nor collect your data.
1. Personal information we collect
Yozzi does not collect personal information. There is no sign-up, no data is sent to any server operated by the developer, and no advertising or analytics (tracking) tools are used.
2. Where your data is stored
The memos, to-dos and settings you create are stored in the local database of the device (or browser) where the app is installed. Uninstalling the app deletes the data on the device.
On Android, if the device's Google automatic backup is turned on, this data may also be included in your own Google account backup and restored on a new device. Google manages that backup under your account and the developer cannot view it. (Temporary data for the home-screen widget is excluded from the backup.)
3. Google Drive sync (optional)
- It works only if you connect it yourself, and the backup file is stored in the app-specific space (appDataFolder) of your own Google Drive.
- Only the owner of that Google account can access this space, and the developer cannot view it.
- The only permission the app uses is
drive.appdata (the app-specific folder); it does not access any other files in your Drive.
- Yozzi's use of Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
(Google API Services User Data Policy)
- You can disconnect at any time in Settings, and removing the app's connection in your Google Drive settings also removes the backup data.
4. Link previews
When a memo contains a web address (URL), your device connects directly to that address to fetch its public meta information in order to show a title and thumbnail. This does not pass through the developer's or any third party's server.
5. Device permissions
- Camera / photos: used only when you attach a photo to a memo
- Microphone: used only when you record a voice memo
- Biometrics (fingerprint / face): used only to unlock a memo pad — authentication data never leaves the device
- Internet: used for Google Drive sync and link previews
- Basic requests of the web version: it loads screen components and fonts (
gstatic.com), checks for a new version from Settings (the app's own version.json), and loads the Google sign-in script (accounts.google.com) at startup. Unless you connect Google Drive, your memo contents are not sent anywhere.
- Notifications (Android): requested only when you turn on due-date reminders in Settings — reminders are scheduled and shown on the device itself, and nothing is sent to a server
Every permission is requested only when you use the related feature, and the rest of the app keeps working if you decline.
6. Sharing with third parties
We do not provide personal information to third parties. (We hold no data to provide.)
7. How to delete your data
- Data on your device: uninstall the app (or clear the browser's site data), or use Settings → Erase my data from this device in the app (your Drive backup and other devices keep their content)
- Android automatic backup: delete it in the device's Google account backup settings
- Drive backup: Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Yozzi → Disconnect and delete data
